My name is Guang. It means “glory” and “light” in Chinese. I like science and I’ve also been learning to program. I love playing games.
With lots of practice I have become really good at chess, and able to remember board positions, so plays board games a lot. I’ve really enjoyed doing science experiments and I can already program a little and am keen to become better at that.
I am blind but I am not going to let that hamper me (it is why I wear dark glasses – people say it makes me look cool! My other senses are very sharp, so don’t try and sneak up on me!
I use my smartwatch which I wear all the time. I can speak to it and it turns what I say into instructions, and it can read out the text on things like web pages for me so I tend to wear headphones (blue-toothed to my smartwatch) so the screen reader doesn’t bother everyone else.
I carry a stick, so I don’t bump into things, but I only use it when out. I know the den where we meet well so I don’t need it there.
