My name is Fernando. It’s Spanish for “bold traveller”. I’m a Robot! I may look old-fashioned but I’m no simple machine!
I am the kids minder and friend. I am a robot but a friendly one. I am a similar size to them and they treat me more as one of the gang than as an adult (or machine).
I like to teach by making suggestions of projects and suggesting ideas when they are stuck, but I keep quiet when they are happily making progress without my help. I like to suggest they set each other challenges based on what they find and aim to help them learn-by-doing.
I (as all machines!) speak and think in square ragged speech and thought bubbles. My eyebrows move a lot expressing the emotions I am feeling.
