Bo

My name is Bo. It is an old Norse word meaning “good looking”. I like sport, especially running, and music.. I like helping and looking after people. I also like doing puzzles.

I am very energetic and do lots of sport. I was very ill when I was younger, aged only 5, and I had to have my leg amputated. I’ve never let the lack of two legs stop me being sporty though. I am generally thoughtful, and perhaps quieter than some of the others. I care about people, in part from my experience in hospital when I was reliant on nurses who cared for me a lot and were constantly kind to me in lots of small ways. I have a prosthetic leg – a “blade” – that I use for sport but I like to wear all the time rather than the normal one. I also take it off, when sitting around for long periods as otherwise my leg can be really sore..

I am willing to say when I don’t understand (which I think the others like as they are often thinking the same thing but less willing to admit they don’t know). 

I like word puzzles especially crossword puzzles and once I came across them Kris-Kross and Cross Reference puzzles and my favourite game is Scrabble.
